MPC Changed My Life: Feb 15th, Toi Bar.

Couldn't have said it any better. Cats know what's up. This one piece of hardware has evolved to define (and possibly re:define) beats and the music spawned from it. The mere mention of the MP and it's maestros will spark spirited discussions and study about it's sound and swing.
It's in the sense become a bit of a state of mind, almost a culture.

I have said it many times over and over again: Toronto get's spoiled. We've had a monstrous start of 08 with all the shows and all the nights. It's getting better all the time, and I know this summer will be even more bananas. In any case, next in line:



The Long awaited Guilty Simpson Release Party.
Even better, special guest will be none other than World Famous DJ HOUSE SHOES - one of the Detroit Disco Dynamite key holders. Prolly the most official.
This event will be like none other in Toronto. It'll be House Shoes' 1st time in the famed Megacity and he's been wanting to come up for quite a whilst now. Almost did it a whilst back, but the starts weren't aligned.
I chatted about HS a whilst back after his famed HVW8 podcast. That one reverberated around the globe a few times, Ty G will tell you all about that one.

Anyhow, Guilty's record drops March 25th 2008 off Stones Throw. Make certain you cop that one. It's been too long in the making, and the time has arrived.

We'll be celebrating Sunday night March 23rd w/ House Shoes in Toronto. Long weekend Sunday. Could it get any better?? I think not. Here are the very Official Deets:

But, meatier is the rumors of a special guest. WTF?!?! I ran into your man Guilty in London this past summer and in LA in Nov and he's been talking about wanting to come up... Sh*t. This could be f*cking heavy...

Yea... Me and this cat Tona hooked up via Brassmunk a few years back, and we clicked. Like, let alone that he spit that fire, he and I clicked on the music that we loved. (RIP you know who). For real. As such, I got love for my man.

The singular star from the oft maligned but well celebrated Scarborough has a video release party for this banger Dial Tone that he put out a min ago (produced KingSampson and not just Gameboy. Details by email can be ambiguous. Erratum corrected), long side a celebration of the release of his EP: Don't Holla. Say wrd.

Make sure to peep this out, as it's at recently favored venue of choice - The Revival. Sh*t, I was just there last night.
